Privacy Policy
Ficus · Effective 6 November 2026
The short version
Ficus doesn’t collect any information about you. It has no accounts of its own, ads, analytics or tracking, and I can’t see your files.
Figma
Ficus shows Figma’s website, figma.com, in its windows. Your Figma account, your files and what you do in them go to Figma, just as they would in a web browser, and are covered by Figma’s Privacy Policy.
If you sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft or your company’s single sign-on, that sign-in is handled by them.
On your Mac
Your sign-in and website data are kept by macOS for Ficus, as Safari keeps them for websites. Your favourites, open tabs and settings are stored only on your Mac.
Your clipboard
Ficus reads your clipboard only when Figma’s own page asks to paste, and only while its window is the one you’re using. Plugins and embedded content can’t read it this way.
Downloads and links
Exports and other downloads are saved to your Downloads folder. Links to other websites open in your usual browser.
Updates
Ficus checks this website, ja.ckwal.sh, for new versions: once a day if you let it check automatically, and whenever you choose Check for Updates. A check only downloads the list of versions and sends nothing about you or your files. Like any web request, it includes your IP address and which version of Ficus you have, which the hosting service may keep in its standard server logs.
Removing your data
To remove everything Ficus keeps, delete the app and its folder at ~/Library/Containers/com.jackwalsh.ficus. Your Figma files stay in your Figma account.
This website
These pages don’t use cookies or analytics. Like most websites, the service that hosts them may keep standard server logs.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
