Upcoming: A Simple Planner · Effective 17 October 2026

The short version

Upcoming doesn’t collect any information about you. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and I can’t see anything you add to the app.

Your items

The items you add, with their dates, times, locations and notes, are stored on your device.

If you’re signed in to iCloud, they’re also kept in your private iCloud database, using Apple’s CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices. Only your Apple Account can reach that database; I have no access to it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Settings

Your choices in the app, such as the theme, app icon, week start and Weekly Reminder, are stored only on your device.

Notifications

If you turn on the Weekly Reminder, it’s scheduled on your device by iOS. Nothing about it is sent to me or anyone else.

Importing and exporting

Files you import are read on your device. Files you export are made on your device and only go wherever you choose to share them.

Removing your data

You can remove items one at a time, or remove past items or everything at once in Settings › Manage Data. Removed items are deleted from your device and from your iCloud.

Deleting the app removes its data from that device. Anything kept in iCloud can also be managed from your iCloud settings.

This website

These pages don’t use cookies or analytics. Like most websites, the service that hosts them may keep standard server logs.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
